A few weeks ago, my mom, Raylan and I went to Target to set up my baby registry. It was a great experience and I received a nice little welcome kit filled with coupons and samples. It is nice to set up a registry not only so people (if they want) can buy you what you really need but it helps me keep a list of the things I love and I can compare it to other similar products. I also opened a registry at Buy Buy Baby and I can’t wait to go in store and see what their process is like when it comes to opening registries.
It was a little overwhelming trying to scan everything in the store because at the time I had no idea what I really needed or wanted and seeing everything in the store was a bit much because I instantly needed and wanted everything. I definitely like going online to add to my registry so I can read reviews, see pictures of the products and see similar products.
This is baby #2 and it has been 4 years since my last baby. Things look a little different compared to then. It just seems everything has gotten so chic and fancy. Being a second time mom, I know what things are wants and what things are needed. I bought so much junk with Raylan and I don’t want to do that this time around. I don’t have anything from when Raylan was a baby except clothes so I have to go out and buy new baby gear and equipment. I have done enough rambling so onto the things on my registry. Just so you know this blog is not sponsored in any way and these are items I really like and may possibly buy.
Joovy Caboose Ultralight Graphite Stroller – Price: $180.00
Chicco Bravo For 2 Double Stroller – Price: $224.00
One of the first things, I looked at when at the store were strollers. I looked at the travel systems and also double strollers. I am pretty active and Raylan gets tired easily so I was looking at double strollers for when we’re out and about. The Joovy Caboose Ultralight caught my attention and I read a lot of reviews about how it is lightweight and I really liked the compact look of the stroller. And then I went to a baby show here in Atlanta and was introduced to the Chicco Bravo for 2 stroller and Raylan had a chance to test it out and he really enjoyed it. I have included photos of both. I am leaning towards the Chicco stroller because even though I love a lightweight stroller, I love a heavy duty stroller more.
Fisher-Price Infant to Toddler Rocker – Price: $35.99
The next thing I looked at were the baby rockers and baby swings. With Raylan, I went all out with these things but a simple rocker chair is what worked best with him so I want to do the same with this baby. I want to go cheap and simple with the baby rocker. Raylan when he was little was not a fan of the swing so I kind of want to wait until the baby gets here before I go all out on a rocker and swing. I really liked the colors of this rocker and that it was similar to what Raylan had as a baby.
Ergobaby Original Ergonomic Multi-Position Carrier – Price: $119.99
Infantino Flip Advanced 4-in-1 Carrier – Price: $25.49
Lillebaby 6-Position Child Carrier – Price: $124.99
I do plan on baby wearing so the next thing I looked at were baby carriers. I have three on my registry that range in price. I am leaning towards the LILLEbaby carrier because of the reviews and I have seen this product in person and seems to be the best one for me. And it seems that the LILLEbaby will last from infant to toddler. I also really like the Ergobaby carrier and I might buy as a backup. With the Infantino baby carrier, I had one similar and it didn’t fit well and it didn’t last long.
Chicco® Lullaby Baby Playard – Price:$189.99
I saw a lot of these and I didn’t decide on the one until I went to the Atlanta Baby Show and saw the Chicco Playard in person. The pictures online do not do this product justice. I really love this all in one playard that will grow with the baby. Even though I really love this one, I am still shopping around for playards to see what else is on the market.
Chicco® Lullago Deluxe Portable Bassinet-Taupe – Price: $129.99
I absolutely love bassinets because it fits perfectly anywhere and with this bassinet, it is portable and I can travel with it. And I wanted to buy a bassinet until the baby is old and big enough to be in their crib.
NUK Double Electric Breast Pump – Price: $89.99
I have no plans to exclusively breastfeed and I don’t plan on breastfeeding long so I don’t want to spend a lot of money and I just wanted something simple to be able to pump for the first few months. I had a manual pump with Raylan and it was the worst so I want to try an electric pump this time around.
Other Things on My Registry!
I have also registered cribs that I like, swaddling blankets, sleepsacks, tummy mats, diapers, wipes, diaper bags, safety kits and a lot of other things. I didn’t want to go on and on about my registry, just wanted to include my big ticket items and honorable mentions. Having a registry makes me so excited and makes everything feel so real. I just cannot wait until my baby gets here and I can hold him in my arms.
