I ordered my Bluum Box on September 13th and I received it on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. I am not a happy camper with this box and I’ll explain in a minute. Bluum is a monthly subscription box for babies and toddlers and it is customized for your child’s age. You can pick the items you want to go into your monthly box from a range of products or you can choose to be surprised.
This subscription costs $34 a month and they also have prepaid plans as well if you want to pay 3 months, 6 months or a year in advance. I bought this box at $29 with a coupon code.
I chose to pick the items in my box. Picking out the items is great so you can ensure that you get the most value for your money but it’s slim pickings. At the last minute, I received an email that two of my options were no longer available and I needed to pick two new items or I can just throw in the two items that I still had from the September box into my October box. I knew that this was one subscription that wasn’t worth the money or the headache so I was canceling after my first month. Long story short, I just picked two items so I can go ahead and get the September box.
My son is 37 months (that’s how he is categorized on the site) and I do not think this is a subscription for toddlers. There is not a big selection for that age group and things go very quickly.
What I can say about the Bluum box is that their customer service is top-notch. I had to call Bluum because of an order mishap and they were so friendly and helpful. And the CEO actually sent out an email after the box was delivered to welcome me to the company. It might have been a generic email and they send it to everyone but I appreciated the gesture.
Now onto the items in the box. There are usually products for mom and child in the box. I just picked everything for Raylan because like I stated earlier, there was not a lot to choose from. Bluum doesn’t send description cards or anything like that. The company usually sends an email about the products in your box.
Melissa & Doug My First Paint With Water : Animals – value: 4.99
Raylan has become quite the artist lately so I thought this would be great for him. All you need is water. You dip the paintbrush in the water and brush across the page and watch the colors appear. It’s less messy than paint so it was a win for me.

Eeboo Toys Sketchbook – Striped Biggies – value 5.99

Raylan has wanted a Sketchbook since I bought one for myself and this one was perfect for him. The paper is thick and the cover is very engaging.

Wiggity Bang Crazy A’s Game – Level 1 – value 10.00

This is a phonics card game. I think it’s pretty neat but Raylan is still a little too young to actually play the game. We are just using them as flashcards.

Toysmith 65 Piece Gear Building Set – value 3.99
I thought I got a picture of the last item in the box but I didn’t so I just used a Google image. Raylan didn’t care for these little gears. He did like the container they came in and has been playing with that. You’re supposed to twist and bend the gears and make the gears snap together. I think that I had more fun with them than Raylan.
Raylan and I have been trying out different subscription boxes  to see which ones we like and will definitely keep and which ones are just not worth the money.  And we both like getting presents in the mail. As you can see, he was excited to get his package in the mail and it had his name on it!
Keepin’ It Real: The value of this box came to $24.97 which was less than what I paid. You always want to make sure you are getting the bang for your buck with these subscription boxes. The value has to be more than what you paid and then some. I’m glad that I didn’t pay $34 for this subscription box because it was barely worth the $29 I spent for it. We have canceled Bluum Box because it was so not a keeper. I could have bought these things myself for less money. I decided to give this a chance despite the complaints and I’m disappointed. It’s just too much of an effort to pick the things that you want to go into your child’s box especially when there aren’t a lot of options. And I’m not a fan of surprises especially when it comes to Raylan. Bye Bye Bluum, it’s been real!

Hope You All Enjoyed the Blog!
