39th Annual Children’s Christmas Parade | A Look at the Parade Through Our Eyes
Going to parades is one of my childhood’s fondest memories. If there was ever a parade, my mom made sure we were there. There was nothing like seeing the floats, balloons and bands in person. It’s one of the many things that I vowed to keep doing with my own kids. And it was nothing like seeing their excitement and smiles when they saw the different floats, balloons and bands. On December 7th, we attended the Children’s Christmas Parade. I remember going to this same parade when I was younger and it used to go through Downtown Atlanta. Over recent years, the parade now passes through Midtown Atlanta. The weather was perfect for the parade and I’m glad it wasn’t too cold. At any rate, these are some of our best moments from the parade this year.
Children’s Christmas Parade Through Our Lens
Before the parade started, there was music playing and some of my boys’ favorite characters walking down Midtown. Ray got a chance to high-five and hug all of the characters. Ry, our baby, was behind the gates and a little too afraid to interact with the characters. I think this was the perfect way to warm up the parade and get the little ones excited for what’s to come in the parade.
The parade has started ! We saw Pete the Cat, Cookie Mouse, 3 Blind Mice and more.
The vintage cars are always my favorite in the parades.
More floats coming down Midtown ! Bob the Builder was a favorite for Ray.
The dancing business men are always so entertaining to watch. This is probably my second favorite part of the parade.
It’s always cool to see the holiday themed MARTA buses.
Macy’s Pink Pig and Monster Jam
And the parade always ends with the Santa float!
We enjoyed the parade this year and can’t wait to see it again next year. Hope you all enjoyed the photos!
