Holiday Gift Guide for Babies
I am back with a new blog post today sharing some information about the perfect gifts to get for a baby. Are you stuck wondering what to get your baby for Christmas? If so, I am here to help.
My youngest is 10 months old and we have bought a lot of toys to test out and review. I always hear to never buy a lot of toys for babies because the toys won’t keep their interest or they won’t play with the toys. That has not been the case for my baby. He loves playing with toys and carrying his toys from room to room. And a lot of the toys that he plays with today, he has had since he was born. In my honest opinion, it’s all about knowing your baby and knowing what they like.
The gifts that I am suggesting are going to be best for babies 0-12 months. Your baby will have so much fun unwrapping these cool gifts on Christmas morning.
0-3 Months Gift Ideas
~ Mirror – Perfect tummy time accessory. The one in the picture is a Bright Starts Sit & See Safari Mirror.
~ A soft stacker toy or blocks – This will be great as they get older and learn to actually stack the toys or blocks. My preference is the soft stacking toys just because you don’t have to worry about the younger baby smacking themselves in the head with the wooden or plastic stacking toys.
~Stroller and Car-seat toys are always great gifts and inexpensive.
~Security blankets and stuffed toys – Just be sure to leave these things out of the crib for safe sleeping.
~I have a Munchkin SaraBear Portable Diaper Caddy pictured as a customized gift idea. You can fill the basket with all types of goodies from diapers to wipes to soap or any other baby essentials.
I also recently reviewed the diaper caddy on my channel if you want to see this in more detail.
Baby Gift Ideas From 0-12 Months
The Boppy Pillow – This pillow is great for the younger babies. My little one has had his pillow since birth and we love it.
This is my video review of the Boppy and the different ways that you can use the Boppy pillow.
~Tummy Time Pillow – Another great gift for a young baby is a tummy time pillow. If you have a Boppy, you don’t really need this pillow. I just think it’s great because it plays music, vibrates and has bright colors. The one pictured is a Fisher-Price Soothing Vibrations Tummy Wedge.
Stacking toys are great for all ages. These are the ones we currently have and love.
~ B. Bazillion Buckets – Nested Plastic buckets
~ Fisher-Price Tumblin’ Sounds Giraffe
~ Fisher-Price Stack and Roll Choo Choo Train
~ Baby Cellphone – My baby loves my cellphone and some babies are not easily fooled by the pretend ones. But my 10 month old loves his play phones. Both are from Fisher Price.
This is an up-close look of the one he really enjoys now that he’s older. It is much more interactive and keeps him entertained for a few minutes.
~ Remote Control Cars – We actually got this car when Ry was like 5 or so months. This is definitely more for an older baby or toddler. He enjoyed watching it go across the floor and now he can push the buttons on his own. This is the Lovely Cartoon Car that we bought on Amazon.
The V-Tech learn and play driver is perfect for the 6 months and up crowd. I feel we are always discovering something new with this toy. It plays music, makes actual car sounds and has volume control.
Books are always a great idea for babies of all ages and inexpensive. For the younger babies, I suggest the softer books that have noises and different textures. I also recommend the Baby Einstein book set because the books are so cute and little.
The soft book that my baby really enjoys is the Lamaze Soft Animal Counting Book.
~ Blocks – Blocks are great for babies. You have the wooden blocks, Mega Bloks and foam peg blocks. We chose Mega Bloks and foam peg blocks and Rylan loves them. He can’t build with them yet but he likes the colors and banging them together.
~ Personalized gifts are always fun as well. We got a personalized blanket from Giftsforyournow and a personalized book from I See Me. Both websites have a ton of personalized gifts available.

The Fisher-Price Laugh and Learn Puppy Walker is our favorite toy. You can get this for a younger baby and they will grow to love it. It comes with 3 different learning stages, buttons to push, music and Spanish. As they get older, the baby will use this as a walker. We have had ours since Ry was about 6 months old and we love it.
This is perfect for babies of all ages but better for the younger babies. It is a little blanket with a cute animal face. We have had this for awhile and love it. It is the Child of Mine by Carter’s Newborn Baby Fleece Character Blanket.
Big Ticket Gift Ideas
For the big ticket items, these are just general ideas. Pictured are some that I have been looking at for my little ones. We have the Sit Me Up Activity chair and the ocean themed baby jumper. The possibilities for the big ticket items are endless.
