Subscription Box Review: Rockets of Awesome Summer Box

I received my Summer box back in the Summer and life got busy so I didn’t get a chance to do the blog post about it. I want to show what Rockets of Awesome typically sends in their Summer Box.

With this box, they sent me a coupon to get the entire box for $150. But, some of the things in the box either didn’t fit or Raylan had something similar. I still really enjoy this box because they do have unique kids’ clothing and I can shop in a personalized store as well. What I like most about this subscription box is that you can see what items are going to be in the box and approve and swap items out before the box is sent to you. I chose not to see the preview of the box and I really liked almost all of the pieces that they sent for the Summer.

With Rockets of Awesome, you fill out a style profile and the team handpicks items based on the profile.  You have to pay a $20 service fee and that goes towards anything that you decide to keep. Shipping is free both ways. Each piece ranges in price from $16-$38.

One of the other things I really like about this subscription service is that you get a personalized store and that you’re able to shop for the pieces that you love most and buy things in a bigger size or see what other colors are available.

Besides the clothes in the box, you also receive a price sheet and a bag to ship the returns. Now, onto what I received in the Summer box!

Stripe on Stripe Tee Heather Olympian Blue

Price: $22.50

Return

I really felt like the shirt was really unique but it fit snug on Raylan. We returned for a bigger size.

Cargo Knit Short Heather Comet

Price: $22.50

Return

The shorts were very snug on Raylan. And because he has a lot of shorts, I didn’t feel the need to return for a bigger size. I loved that the shorts had an imitation button because Raylan still struggles with buttons on pants. In our style profile, I have it noted that he struggles with bottoms and they always send pull on shorts for Raylan. Raylan also didn’t find these shorts comfortable.

Shark Bite Tee Surf Blue

Price: $19.50

Return

The shirt is super cute and love the text and color. We only returned because it was a very snug fit and I haven’t gotten around to buying it in a bigger size.

Everyday Pull-On Short

Price: $24.50

Keep

The shorts were the perfect fit and super comfortable. The shorts are really the perfect everyday shorts for Raylan.

Camo Button Down Bright Lake

Price: $24.50

Return

This camo button down is super cute. It was a snug fit on Raylan and we were barely able to snap the buttons over his belly. Raylan is funny about button downs because he doesn’t like the collar part on his neck. Other than that, this is the perfect button down and I may buy it in a bigger size.

Awesome Roll Back Tee Heather Fog

Price: $22.50

Keep

This was Raylan’s favorite piece out of the Summer Box. Super cute and comfortable tee. If he could wear this shirt everyday, he would.

Crab Invaders Tee Highlighter

Price: $22.50

Return

I honestly have no clue why we returned this shirt because we really loved the design of this one. I love when they send the highlighter, shiny reflective pieces. It’s just a great way to stand out. Super cute and comfortable shirt. I’m going to see if I can buy it in my shop.

Round Sunglasses Purple

Price: $16.50

Return

We returned because he has 2 similar pairs of glasses like the one Rockets of Awesome sent.  I also didn’t really like the way these sunglasses fit on his face either, seemed too small. But, super cute glasses.

And the best part of all for Raylan is that the box is one big coloring pad for him.  I love the designs of their boxes.

Rockets of Awesome is the best! We have been subscribed to them for about 3 years now. I love that this is very child-friendly and that they send very unique pieces. All of the pieces are designed by the Rockets of Awesome team and I love that.
